What is Pilates and How is Pure Balance Different?

“Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. In order to achieve happiness, it is imperative to gain mastery of your body. If at the age of 30 you are stiff and out of shape, you are old. If at 60 you are supple and strong then you are young.”
Joseph Pilates
Pilates exercises emphasize the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement
Through a system of controlled exercises, students work to strengthen and rebalance muscles, whilst promoting flexibility and increased range of motion in the joints.

Not just a Pilates Studio……………….

At Pure Balance to support the delivery of careful individualised Clinical Pilates, we have our own Physiotherapy Clinic – Pure Balance Health – New clients are seen for a thorough postural assessment prior to commencing pilates classes. This enables the identification of any muscle, skeletal or joint complaints. Our physiotherapist then works closely along side our pilates teachers to ensure the prescription of safe and effective pilates exercise to students within each class.
